Robots generate movement and vibration as part of their operation. Gravity Energy explores whether some of this mechanical activity can be converted into useful electrical energy. Depending on the system and its duty cycle, this could provide a supplementary source for sensors, control electronics or other low-power components. Robotics offers an opportunity to investigate energy harvesting in systems where movement is inherent to the application.
